Action JobsNational Park Service The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is a work-learn-earn program that encourages youth to gain an appreciation of the nation’s natural and cultural heritage. YCC crews remove invasive species, improve habitats, assist visitors, and maintain trails, bridges, and other structures. YCC crews learn about managing these resources and participate each week in an educational program that demonstrates why their hard work counts! These parks will be hosting YCC crews in 2010:
To apply, students must download and complete the YCC application. Completed applications must be received by the Alice Ferguson Foundation for routing to the YCC Coordinators at the parks no later than April 1, 2010. Students must indicate their park preference by circling the park they would like to work in on the last page of the YCC application. Applications may also be mailed directly to the parks up until April 15. Please notify Bridging the Watershed staff at jpope@fergusonfoundation.org if you choose to mail your application directly to the park.
