What is Student Action?

What is student action? Bridging the Watershed goes beyond academic achievement to include the promotion of personal connections with the natural world, lifelong civic engagement, and environmental stewardship. Student Action is any activity that demonstrates these personal connections to the natural world. Return to your national parks and other green spaces; make environmentally informed decisions at home and school; volunteer; pursue a career in the National Park Service or natural sciences.

Student Action is:

  • A great way to get connected to the natural world
  • Encourage environmental stewardship
  • Promote leadership, activism, and learn skills for work and school

Do you have questions about getting involved with the Bridging the Watershed Student Action Program? Contact the Student Action Coordinator.
