Fergie’s Gardener meetings are held the 2
nd Tuesday of every month
(unless otherwise noted) at 7PM at the Farmhouse. Summer meetings include a tour of River Farm on June 14
(tentative) and a presentation on the new children’s garden at Alice Ferguson Foundation on July 12. No August meeting.

Club History and Purpose:
Alice Ferguson Foundation Board Member Shirley Nicolai and Foundation staff members Michelle Radez and Doris Sharp launched Fergie’s Gardeners in 2003. Shirley Nicolai is National President of National Garden Clubs, Inc. The Alice Ferguson Foundation and Fergie’s Gardeners have won numerous awards for club activities, historical restoration and environmental stewardship.
Objectives of the Garden Club
- Promote environmentally responsible horticultural practices.
- Increase members’ knowledge and appreciation of gardening and beautification of the home and community.
- Promote conservation of natural wildlife resources to the end that the community and its surrounding areas may be preserved and protected for the enjoyment of all.
- Maintenance of the formal house garden, in coordination with the Foundation, shall be a priority.
- Preservation of the history, horticulture and layout of the gardens shall be an important consideration in the renovation and maintenance of the hilltop gardens and landscape, and Hard Bargain Farm.
Join the Garden Club
Membership is open to the public. New members of Fergie’s Gardeners will be given a complimentary one year membership to the Alice Ferguson Foundation and encouraged to remain members in the future.
Fergie’s Gardeners annual membership dues are $20 for an individual membership or $30 for a joint membership Join online or download the membership application to join by mail.
Meeting Times:
Fergie’s Gardener’s meets the second Tuesday of every month, except July, August and January.
