Trash Free Potomac Watershed Roundtable Meetings
Next Steps for Building a Successful Public Education Campaign

Potomac River Shoreline
Upcoming Meetings
April 2008 21: Litter Enforcement Week Follow Up Meeting (Location: AFF's Dupont Circle Office)

We heard a powerful common need from the dedicated participants of the Annual Potomac Watershed Trash Summits. All seven of this year's working-group roundtables asked for an active and large-scale regional public education and awareness program to send a unified and repetitive Trash Free message to the public. Each of the working-group roundtables will help move the Regional Public Education Campaign forward. What is involved in building a regional public education campaign for our Potomac River Watershed?

It is vital to share what's been accomplished -- & to forge ahead together on specifying creative ideas for messaging, reaching target audiences, funding mechanisms, and leveraging the costs of comprehensive campaign components through immediate region-wide participation.

This Winter and Spring, we urge you to participate in the planning series of in-depth and action-oriented follow-up meetings to be held in Washington, DC.

Who Should Attend?

  • Elected Officials from the Potomac River Watershed
  • Government Agency Representatives
  • Nonprofit groups
  • Interested Citizens
  • Private Businesses

Please join us for follow-up meetings on the following Trash Summit Roundtables. RSVP to Penny Weaver at pweaver@fergusonfoundtion.org or by phone at 202-518-7415 to receive an e-mail invitation.
