6th ANNUAL POTOMAC WATERSHED TRASH SUMMIT
On October 19th 2011 stakeholders gathered together at George Mason University’s Founders hall to honor progress, learn about initiatives, work towards solutions for a trash frees Potomac Watershed.

During the lunch time plenary, Christophe Tulou, the Director of DDOE, spoke about how the District will be working towards comprehensive waste reduction as part of the Sustainable D.C. program. To view his speech, click here.
The inspiring Keynote address was also delivered during the lunch time plenary by George Washington Middle school student Isabella Lovain who has been a strong advocate for a clean watershed since she began her campaign at the age of eight. She was also joined by twenty-five of her classmates as they participated in the Youth Track of the Summit where they created action items for their own school to address the trash problem, then presented their findings to the summit attendees.
