Cleanup at Fletchers Cove being covered by "Loose Cannon Outdoors"
150 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders clean up Indian Creek. Students will clean litter from the stream and watershed behind Springhill Lake Elementary School.
Troop 1658 from Port Tobacco, MD sponsors the Clean-Up event of 7500 feet of private property located off of Nanjemoy Creek to the Potomac River.
We will meet at the playground of the park and proceed along the creek to the beaver dam and beyond.
On April 20, 1 to 3 p.m., help us and the National Park Service clean up trash along the Potomac River shoreline and in Dyke Marsh. Register at https://forms.office.com/g/SxvAK9GLCQ. We will provide some gloves, tools and trash bags. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves, gloves and sun protection. Bring water.
Cleaning up the shoreline at Fort Foote Park. The park will provide bags and gloves. We have a limited supply of trash grabbers. The trash bags need to be brought back up the hill for disposal.
May the Fourth be with you as we join to help the environment! We will clean the shoreline of the Potomac River and Sugarland Run at Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, Virginia. Bags, gloves and lunch provided. Meet at the boat ramp at Algonkian Reginal Park on Saturday, May 4 at 9am.
