Piscataway Kayaking Adventure

Ready, Set..Kayak & Learn! Kayak along the Piscataway Creek and learn about local nature on Sat., October 7.

Join the Alice Ferguson Foundation and Atlantic Kayak Company to explore nature on a kayaking adventure. This expedition includes a hayride to the river, safety demonstration, and guided tour of Piscataway Creek. Take in the scenic views of the protected Mount Vernon viewshed as you learn about the area’s rich natural surroundings and abundant plant life. While learning from the naturalist, enjoy your own lunch on the water.

Kayaks, life vests, and introductory kayak lessons included. Participants should expect to get wet and are encouraged to wear water-appropriate clothing and water-safe shoes. Bottled water, sunscreen, and a hat recommended. Binoculars, cameras and nature questions are encouraged!

Tandem kayaks will be used for this adventure only. Bring a friend or family member to explore with you. Or make a new friend while learning on the water.

Ages 8 and up are welcome to join.

This event is in partnership with Atlantic Kayak Company. We look forward to paddling the Piscataway with you on Saturday, October 7!

Fee: $100 per seat + processing fees
