Employee Spotlight: Aggie Morris

Our Development Coordinator, Aggie Morris, has had a busy summer finding corporate donors interested in helping our mission! Get to know Aggie in our monthly employee spotlight series:

How long have you worked at AFF?

I joined AFF at the beginning of June 2022.

What do you do at AFF?

I am the Development Coordinator.  I work on creating and maintaining our partnerships within the community!

What did you do before coming to AFF?

I worked at an accounting firm before joining AFF.  I’ve held various roles, but most recently I served multiple partners as an Executive Assistant.

Why do you love working at AFF?

I love working at AFF because of what it stands for.  Positively impacting the community through environmental education is important to me.  And the view from my office window doesn’t hurt either!

What is your favorite spot on the property?

The Wet Meadow is my favorite spot!  It’s very calming and serene.  The boardwalk is fun to walk on and you will definitely catch some glimpses of turtles and birds.

What do you do in your free time away from AFF?

I love to cook and I’m always trying new recipes. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family.  We love exploring!

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

I really enjoy biking.  The Bethesda Trolley Trail is my favorite path!

Why do you feel it’s so important to educate others about the environment?

I feel it’s important to educate others about the environment because connecting people to nature leads to positive outcomes.  Not only does it lead to sustainability, but environmental education is enriching, allows one to grow emotionally and socially, and gets people involved with their communities.
