Let’s raise a glass for environmental education!
For nearly 70 years, the Alice Ferguson Foundation been championing hands-on science education and the environment. Your support helps science and nature come alive for thousands of local children as they discover the great outdoors very first time. These one-of-a-kind experiences allow students to learn about the natural world around them and their place in it.

About the Event
Our 9th Annual Pinot on the Potomac gala and garden party will be held Saturday, September 23 beginning at 3 PM – to celebrate National Public Lands Day. We look forward to sharing an unforgettable day of wine, nature, and camaraderie as we raise our glasses to our transformative environmental education programs and the preservation of our beautiful public lands.
In partnership with the Maryland Wineries Association, this year’s Pinot on the Potomac will feature wine tastings from the prestigious Maryland wine trails, live music, a silent auction and so much more.
Guests have the option to pre-order personal charcuterie boxes or purchase them on the day of the event from Sweet & Savory Boards by Jo. Traditional and vegan options are available.
This year’s Pinot on the Potomac will be held rain or shine, no refunds. This event welcomes individuals ages 21 and older only. Pets are not permitted.
Please feel free to bring your picnic blankets or folding chairs to relax around our Historic Farmhouse garden and grounds.
