Join us for Science in the Great Outdoors!

Join the Alice Ferguson Foundation’s summer training so you can bring your students for hands-on outdoor investigations focused on our Potomac watershed. This year’s two-day training will be held on July 11th and 12th. The first day of the training will be virtual via Google Meet and the second day will be held in-person at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC.

With training, teachers can bring their students for outdoor field studies at select National Parks throughout the region.

  • Gain access to the Bridging the Watershed curriculum so you can get your students outside for a hands on science experience in a National Park.
  • Watershed education opportunities include learning about human impact on the watershed through studies on chemistry, litter, invasive species, sustainability, and macroinvertebrates.
  • Curriculum includes pre- and post-field study activities along with action project guidance so that you can use the curriculum to help your students complete a Meaningful Watershed Education Experience.
  • Attend a fun & engaging training program!
