Professional Development

The Alice Ferguson Foundation offers annual professional development opportunities for teachers and environmental education practitioners.

During institutes and workshops, teachers become “students,” actively exploring our curriculum and field studies by participating in hands-on activities, models, and conducting in depth field study investigations amid diverse habitats on our environmental campus and in nearby parks.

Take a look at our upcoming summer trainings for teachers and rangers below.

Having little science background, I learned more over this course then I think I did during my graduate course for how to teach science. The instructors offered various ways to change the projects for various grade levels and I was able to get to thinking on how I can use these for the upcoming year. What a refreshing take!”
