Education Programs

Since 1954, we’ve connected more than a million students and families to the wonders of nature through immersive experiences. From early encounters with farm life to scientific investigations in local ecosystems, our programs spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and inspire a lifelong love for the environment. Explore our education experiences below and see how learning outside the classroom can make a lasting impact.

Our Programs

We offer award-winning environmental education programs that bring classroom lessons to life through hands-on exploration in nature. Each year, thousands of students engage with science, sustainability, and the environment at our environmental education campus, where they investigate real-world ecosystems, observe native wildlife, and discover how their actions impact the world around them.

ADA Accessibility

A portion of our environmental campus is ADA accessible. Those areas include our Living Building, Education Pavilion, bunkhouses, wet meadow boardwalk, and the boardwalk along our Living Shoreline at Piscataway Park. The Alice Ferguson Foundation has a trail chair that can be used by individuals who need special accommodations. Special thanks to our generous donors and Chick-fil-A for providing the funds for the trail chair purchase.
