The section to be cleaned up stretches from the railroad bridge over the canal up to the I-81 overpass. Organizers will gather at the boat-ramp beginning at 10 a.m. The clean-up will run from 10-noon. Bags, relevant equipment and disposable gloves will be provided. Join the City of Greenbelt Department of Public Works and the Alice Ferguson Foundation for a stream cleanup event as Greenbelt participates in the 34th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup. Volunteers are needed to clean up litter along Indian Creek.
Cleanup of the shoreline at Fort Foote Park. Park will have bags and gloves and a limited number of trash grabbers. Meet up at the parking lot to get signed in and get supplies.
